I had the honour of hosting a Substance Designer intro workshop at my uni recently and created this file to demonstrate some of the basic nodes and techniques I use frequently in my material creation, as well as give some simple example materials to show how they are used in real use cases. Unfortunately, the recording of the workshop was lost, but I have commented on the file (hopefully enough) to give a beginner's understanding of some of the important nodes, and my workflow when creating the examples.
The example materials created are very simplified, and are just there to give a working example of the nodes, without overwhelming spaghetti graphs to scare off beginners!
Hopefully this is useful for some people out there, I know there's a lot of great content already on Substance Designer, but I still think it may be useful to share!
