nine-tailed fox

This is a character in a Chinese myth. Legend has it that when Dayu was thirty years old, he passed by Mount Tu and saw a white nine-tailed fox. Later, he became the emperor. In ancient times, Mount Kunlun was the residence of the Queen Mother of the West, and there was a small nine-tailed fox at the foot of the mountain. Many people came here to seek immortality, disturbing the tranquility of the little fox. Someone saw it guarding the snow lotus and wanted to catch it and sell it for money, but the little fox couldn_t resist. Suddenly, there was a thick fog and a few bird chirping sounds. After that, there were no more seekers of immortality at the foot of Mount Kunlun, and the little fox fell asleep beside the snow lotus. According to local ballads, those who see a white nine-tailed fox can become kings.
