This is my first time incorporating AI into image drawing, and I_m fortunate to have kept notes throughout the process. The general process involves sketching an initial draft by hand, then refining it with AI, selecting the image that best matches my concept, and then making adjustments. As the modifications become more aligned with the design idea, the resulting image becomes more complete, eventually achieving the desired effect.
The challenge lies in guiding the AI to follow my design completely, such as the styling of the headgear, the patterns of the metal plant shapes, and the expression of lace texture, among others.
Although some aspects of the image expression still seem somewhat lacking, I have managed to realize over eighty percent of what I envisioned. Moreover, in terms of efficiency, what would originally take three days to complete has been shortened to two.
The issues encountered with this first image prompted me to learn basic operations such as Canny, SoftEdge, OpenPose, Reference, and T2I-Adapter. I have also collected and gained experience in dealing with nearly thirty-two specific problems in various work situations. After a year of research, I gradually realized that the workflow of Photoshop and AI is a demanding task that tests personal aesthetic sense and basic skills. It_s not as miraculous as outsiders may think; it_s a technical endeavor, akin to hand-drawing. This process also tests problem-solving abilities, albeit in a different direction.
