The jelly nightmare spacecrafts were very fun to design. Nightmares are terrifying creatures from To Sleep in a Sea of Stars, which appropriate and distort the anatomy of the people they infect. They can 'grow' ships, limbs and all sorts of other things, but all in a very corrupted and death ridden process- which is why we tried to make these ships look beautiful, alien, but also rotten in a way, showing the decay.
