Welcome the new member of Biotic Zoo family Blue-and-Gold Macaw!
The parrot has 8 Yeti nodes which each has a multilayer feather system considering the length of strands and position on the body. All feathers generate as curve objects and converted to Yeti references- the Macaw doesn't have any Poly plane feathers. The most of feathers texture painted by hand considering a lot of reference images. Total feathers count- 3785 (876463 fibers)

I tried to achieve photorealistic similarity to real animals in their habitat, and I hope you will like the result.
All grooming work and grass scattering I did in Yeti 2.2. Shading and rendering in Arnold (core 5.x.x) in which I used aiStandartHair and melanin centric texturing.
Total fur density - ~19.5M fibers

In this project, I tried to create a photorealistic and anatomically accurate model of Subarctic Great Horned Owl. All grooming and scattering works of feathers I used Yeti, the owl has real fiber feathers (total count feathers -6327 and 2188922 fibers) and I didn't use any poly plane feathers. As always, for shading, I used melanin centric Arnold Hair shader with a complex network.
Average render time: 8k ~30h, 4k (head images) ~14h.

Another CG bird project wherein I tried to create a photorealistic and anatomically accurate model of female Somali Ostrich. Hi-detailed sculpting I did in ZBrush. All grooming and scattering works of feathers I used Yeti, the ostrich has real fiber feathers (total count feathers- 9196 and 3427455 fibers) and I didn't use any poly plane feathers. As always, for shading, I used melanin centric Arnold Hair shader with a complex network.
Average render time: 8k ~17h.
