The scene with the Elephants in the opening minutes of the film. This was translated almost 1:1 to this. I was very happy to see that. I did around 10 different variants and these 2 were the ones that were closest to what made it into the film. The entire sequence was done over a pre-viz'ed Mowgli and Bagheera, so the Pre-viz team could build a diorama of sorts before this scene was shot on the set with our live-action actor of Mowgli. It was absolutely insane. I couldn't believe the pace these talented people were taking these paintings from all of us and literally churning out fully playable pre-viz environments that looked very close to what we had. This would then go to MPC overseas. And then the foreground was always real ferns and ground. The construction team would build that set in a matter of days. It was unbelievable. They had these trackers on stage, and Faverau would grab the camera and walk through the set, and you could see greenscreen removed real-time & placed into here
