I had the honor of working on Portal with RTX alongside my talented colleagues at NVIDIA.
My main task, with the fantastic Derk Elshof, was to bring Portal_s classic materials to 4k PBR with feedback and direction from Valve, Vern Andres-Quentin, and Hunter Hazen.
Here I showcase Part 1 of a selection of materials I built up from scratch in Substance Designer trying to translate as much as possible from the original 512px texture files.
