Here is some vegetation work I did, inspired by the amazing work on vegetation of the HuntShow Down team, check it out if you havent already !Rendered in Unreal Engine 4, I did some of the textures in Substance Designer some are from Megascan.Every model is made in SpeedTree, I wanted to learn more about the software and its ability to create various plants while avoiding the procedural look and aiming towards something that looks more natural.For example I created a Palm leaf generator, 100 procedural in Substance Designer and then recreated the Cluster in SpeedTree from the leaves I generated. It was also very interesting to create a Moss Shader with the help of vertex color it allowed me to control the mud and the roughness, variation on the bark so has to break the tiling repetition created by SpeedTree. I also created a Custom mask based on the height map of Bark to apply the moss and the mud on the bark properly and more naturally.Enjoy !
