This is a Kyrgyzstan yurt made with Houdini and Substance Designer. I remember one day it appeared on my PC as one of those random desktop wallpapers and I instantly fell in love with its vivid and colorful motifs. I also thought it will be a cool idea to create something from a culture that is not represented much on Artstation. I tackled all the cloth simulations in Houdini with vellum which was really fun. Most of the patterns were done with SVG node in Substance Designer and assembled into a trim sheet. The foliage pack is from B. Paul Sandoval. Final render captured in Marmoset Toolbag. Hope you are happy to see something a little different  I might do a breakdown in the future to show the process of creating the yurt. And to conclude here is short summary for you Yurts are one of the most essential parts of Kyrgyz culture and are more than just houses. They represent the family, the earth, and the universe, and cover everything from birth to death. Yurts hold much of Kyrgyz culture, from important rituals and ceremonies, to craftsmanship and traditional artistry.
