Painted Skin

This is an ancient novel story from China. This story mainly tells the story of a scholar surnamed Wang in Taiyuan who encounters a solitary beautiful young woman. The scholar is charmed by her beauty and takes her home, hides her in the study, and lives with her. Against his wife's advice, the scholar insists on keeping her at home. However, this beautiful young woman is actually a fierce ghost wearing a hand-painted beautiful woman's skin. She kills the scholar by ripping out his heart. Later, the wife invites a Taoist priest to exorcise the ghost, and the Taoist priest defeats the fierce ghost. He also retrieves the scholar's heart, and finally, the scholar is brought back to life.
