This is a Chinese mythological story. Its name is the Nine-Colored Deer. A long time ago, a Persian merchant caravan got lost in the Gobi Desert, and the Nine-Colored Deer guided them in the right direction. Later, the Nine-Colored Deer rescued a drowning man and only asked him to keep it a secret. The queen dreamed of the Nine-Colored Deer, and the king offered a reward for its capture. The rescued man could not resist the temptation to betray and lead the way. When they surrounded the Nine-Colored Deer, the Nine-Colored Deer told the king what had happened. The king was moved and ordered that the deer not be harmed and the ungrateful person be punished. The Nine-Colored Deer lived freely again. This story promotes kindness, justice, etc., and condemns ingratitude.
